Waitress is a film released in 2007 to great reviews and acclaim. This film would be the last of Adrienne Shelly's career, as an actress and writer/director. She was murdered before the movie was released.

This film follows the life of Jenna, who is in a horrible and abusive marriage. She plans to leave her husband and is saving up money to do so. Then... she finds out she's pregnant.

The film is filled with delightful and colorful characters who are supportive of Jenna and her strife. It is wonderful to see her strength emerge as the story progresses and to be able to see good things happen to good people.
