April Ludgate (portrayed by Aubrey Plaza) is a character from the television series Parks and Recreation. April is a less than enthusiastic intern in the parks department, and takes an uncaring attitude with all her duties. Despite this, Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), her supervisor, tries to bring excitement and joy to her life.

Over the course of the series, we see April change, she becomes involved in the department and eventually is given a supervisor role herself and is the head of a department. She still has her uncaring attitude, but has grown in many areas.

A big change in April's life occurs when she meets Andy Dwyer (Chris Pratt), and falls in love. She is always up for his shenanigans and takes on a role opposite his FBI agent, which is hilarious! They have a surprise wedding and their married life is always entertaining and full of life lessons and experiences. They take on life together and grow up a little. It even scares them!

I like April's honesty and being able to see her growth. A lot of her attitude is a shield, to not reveal too much about herself and what she really cares about. As she grows close to other staff, she opens up and changes a lot.
